I discovered Paint Pouring during one of my first year projects where I was looking into patterns in the environment, from an aerial perspective. The organic movement of shapes and lines in the paintings reflect the contours of mountains and flow of glaciers. After my project ended, I started to explore a variety of colour combinations, as well as different canvases – leading me to use old vinyl records. The circular shape of the record gives a softer appeal to the painting, as well as giving new life to an unusable object that otherwise would have been left to waste. No two paint pours are the same, making both the process exciting and the finished product one of a kind.
Would you like a paint pour of your own?
